New Stock import and Quota features

A few weeks ago I mentioned some of the new features I would be working on, and I've rolled out a few today.

There have been lots of requests to be able to import your stock list. This is now available, and instructions to do that can be found here.

What's great about the new stock features is that besides being more automated, it also provides users more information. There's lots of interest in showing information about growers as people order, and the new quota feature will help people see if certain products meet the minimums required.

On the road

It's been a hectic couple of months here at lettuceshare, I've been north and south visiting new co-op's around Brisbane (well, new to me anyway...). Thanks to everyone who has been trialling the system and providing feedback, it's the inspiration behind lots of new features that will be rolling out soon.

We also had a great lunch & discussion last weekend at Turnstyle as part of Fair Food Week. Meeting lots of new co-op'ers with lots of energy for what they're doing. Stay tuned for more updates soon!

Welcome to lettuceshare

lettuceshare.org puts a public face to a project that started nearly a year ago at Turnstyle in Highgate Hill, Brisbane. Codenamed "the Reuben system" , it soon took on a life outside of Brisbane as well at the wonderful Goodliving Co-op on the Sunshine Coast.

It's been great fun working on this software with these two amazing community groups, I'm hoping other groups can also find it useful too. It's free to download and run on your own server, or please contact me to provide hosting and support.

Thanks and happy eating! :-)
